Audi B9 RS5 Valved Exhaust System

Full T304 Stainless Steel System with Electronic Valve Control

Overview

The Audi B9 RS5’s 2.9L twin-turbo V6 is a powerhouse—but the factory exhaust hides much of its true character behind heavy, restrictive components. The Valvetronic Designs Full Valved Exhaust System unleashes the car’s full vocal potential, delivering an aggressive, motorsport-inspired tone when desired, and quiet refinement when needed.

Unlike typical aftermarket setups requiring multiple parts from different vendors, our system is a complete, single-package solution—from the OEM or aftermarket downpipes all the way to the exhaust tips. No more combining a cat-back from one brand with resonator sections from another—this is a true one-stop upgrade.

With the valves open, the RS5 gains a sharper tone, aggressive overrun crackles, and a commanding presence. Close the valves, and the car returns to near-stock quietness, making it ideal for both spirited driving and daily use.

Why It Works

  • Full-System Design: Replaces the need for mixing exhaust components from different brands.

  • Electronic Valve Control: Instantly switch between aggressive and refined exhaust modes.

  • Optimized Flow: Mandrel-bent construction improves performance across the rev range.

Sound & Control

  • Valves Open: Bold, aggressive tone with pronounced overrun on deceleration.

  • Valves Closed: Quiet, comfortable OEM-like sound for everyday driving.

  • Valve Delete Recommended: OEM valves can activate unexpectedly; we recommend installing a valve delete module for optimal function (More Info Here).

ECU tuning is the process of adjusting the engine control unit's software to enhance vehicle performance, efficiency, or fuel economy.

It can, depending on the manufacturer. Many warranties do not cover modifications like ECU tuning.

Use the highest octane fuel recommended for your specific tune to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Yes, a properly tuned car can be used daily, as long as the tune is tailored for reliable, everyday driving.

CPC (Central Powertrain Controller) and TCU (Transmission Control Unit) manage your vehicle's powertrain and transmission systems, respectively.

Map switching allows you to change between different tuning settings (maps) for varying driving conditions without having to retune the ECU.

Yes, if done by a professional using proper tools, ECU tuning is generally safe for your vehicle.

ECU tuning works by modifying the software that controls engine parameters like fuel mixture, ignition timing, and boost pressure to optimize performance.

The process of installing a tune depends on the vehicle’s make and model. Some tunes are installed by connecting a tuning device to your car’s OBD-II port and uploading the tuned software, others may require ECU unlock.

Stage 1 is for vehicles with no modifications, stage 2 is for vehicles with bolt-on upgrades or downpipes installed.

We offer post-installation support, troubleshooting, and guidance on using your tuning software and hardware.

Choose tuning software that is compatible with your vehicle, has good reviews, and suits your performance goals (e.g., reliability vs. max power).
