BMW G80 M3 / G82–G83 M4 Exhaust System

Single 3.5" Equal-Length Mid-Pipe + Optional Valved Axle-Back (T304 Stainless or Grade 5 Titanium)

Overview

The G80/G82/G83 is a phenomenal M car—its soundtrack just needs to catch up. Our single 3.5" equal-length mid-pipe unlocks the character the S58 deserves without requiring changes to the OEM rear section. Add the Valvetronic Designs valved axle-back for even more presence and control.

Compatible with OEM downpipes or free-flow front pipes, this system is engineered to deliver a higher-pitch, refined note with zero check-engine lights.

Sound With Free Flow Downpipes:

Sound With Stock Downpipes:

Why It Works

  • Equal-length design: Balances exhaust pulses for a smoother, higher-frequency tone.

  • Single 3.5" mid-section: Optimized flow for improved response and power throughout the rev range.

  • Modular by design: Pairs with OEM or aftermarket rear sections; upgrade path to our valved axle-back at any time.

Sound & Control

  • With stock downpipes: Noticeably crisper, more engaging tone without drone.

  • With our valved axle-back (optional): Quad-chamber muffler and OEM-style valves deliver daily-driver civility closed, and an aggressive, motorsport edge opened—at the touch of a button.

  • No CEL: System is designed to avoid check-engine lights.

Construction & Options

  • Materials: T304 stainless steel or ultra-light Grade 5 titanium.

  • Weight savings: Up to –57.8 lb (Titanium) or –24.7 lb (Stainless) vs. factory.

  • Craftsmanship: Precision TIG welds, fully mandrel-bent tubing, and included cross brace for rigidity.

  • Tips: Premium double-wall or single wall tips included.

Valve Integration

  • Electronic valve control with included controller for rapid open/close.

  • OEM integration available if you prefer factory valve control behavior.

Fitment

  • 2020+ BMW G80 M3

  • 2020+ BMW G82 M4 (Coupe)

  • 2020+ BMW G83 M4 (Convertible)

Installation Notes

ECU tuning is the process of adjusting the engine control unit's software to enhance vehicle performance, efficiency, or fuel economy.

It can, depending on the manufacturer. Many warranties do not cover modifications like ECU tuning.

Use the highest octane fuel recommended for your specific tune to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Yes, a properly tuned car can be used daily, as long as the tune is tailored for reliable, everyday driving.

CPC (Central Powertrain Controller) and TCU (Transmission Control Unit) manage your vehicle's powertrain and transmission systems, respectively.

Map switching allows you to change between different tuning settings (maps) for varying driving conditions without having to retune the ECU.

Yes, if done by a professional using proper tools, ECU tuning is generally safe for your vehicle.

ECU tuning works by modifying the software that controls engine parameters like fuel mixture, ignition timing, and boost pressure to optimize performance.

The process of installing a tune depends on the vehicle’s make and model. Some tunes are installed by connecting a tuning device to your car’s OBD-II port and uploading the tuned software, others may require ECU unlock.

Stage 1 is for vehicles with no modifications, stage 2 is for vehicles with bolt-on upgrades or downpipes installed.

We offer post-installation support, troubleshooting, and guidance on using your tuning software and hardware.

Choose tuning software that is compatible with your vehicle, has good reviews, and suits your performance goals (e.g., reliability vs. max power).
