BMW M8 Valvetronic Designs Titanium Valved Exhaust System

Unleash the Sound Your M8 Deserves

Overview

The BMW M8 is a powerhouse, but from the factory, its sound doesn’t quite match its performance. At Valvetronic Designs, we’ve engineered a Titanium Valved Exhaust System to change that—delivering a sound experience worthy of the M8’s incredible capabilities.

Crafted from our signature lightweight Grade 5 Titanium, this system runs a full 3-inch diameter from inlet to outlet for maximum flow. A large cross-section X-pipe is strategically placed to optimize exhaust scavenging, increasing performance while creating an aggressive yet refined tone.

Sound & Control

This system integrates electronically controlled exhaust valves that can be tied directly into the M8’s ECU for OEM-style operation through Sport and Sport+ modes, or configured with our standalone controller for full manual control—regardless of drive mode.

  • Valves Open: Unrestricted, race-inspired tone with aggressive overrun and exotic character.

  • Valves Closed: Quiet, composed, and comfortable for daily driving.

Fitment

  • 2019–2023 BMW M8 Gran Coupe (F93)

  • 2019–2023 BMW M8 Coupe (F91)

  • 2019–2023 BMW M8 Convertible (F92)

Features

  • Constructed from signature Grade 5 Titanium for extreme strength and weight savings

  • Large cross-section X-pipe for maximum exhaust scavenging and performance gains

  • Your choice of bespoke sleeved exhaust tips in multiple finishes

  • Electronic exhaust valves with standalone remote or factory integration

  • 56.5 lbs lighter than the factory exhaust

  • Precision TIG welds for exceptional durability

  • 100% reversible—can return to stock at any time

ECU tuning is the process of adjusting the engine control unit's software to enhance vehicle performance, efficiency, or fuel economy.

It can, depending on the manufacturer. Many warranties do not cover modifications like ECU tuning.

Use the highest octane fuel recommended for your specific tune to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Yes, a properly tuned car can be used daily, as long as the tune is tailored for reliable, everyday driving.

CPC (Central Powertrain Controller) and TCU (Transmission Control Unit) manage your vehicle's powertrain and transmission systems, respectively.

Map switching allows you to change between different tuning settings (maps) for varying driving conditions without having to retune the ECU.

Yes, if done by a professional using proper tools, ECU tuning is generally safe for your vehicle.

ECU tuning works by modifying the software that controls engine parameters like fuel mixture, ignition timing, and boost pressure to optimize performance.

The process of installing a tune depends on the vehicle’s make and model. Some tunes are installed by connecting a tuning device to your car’s OBD-II port and uploading the tuned software, others may require ECU unlock.

Stage 1 is for vehicles with no modifications, stage 2 is for vehicles with bolt-on upgrades or downpipes installed.

We offer post-installation support, troubleshooting, and guidance on using your tuning software and hardware.

Choose tuning software that is compatible with your vehicle, has good reviews, and suits your performance goals (e.g., reliability vs. max power).
