BMW X5M/X6M F95 & F96 Valvetronic Designs Valved Exhaust System

The S63 & S68, Unleashed.

Precision-Tuned for BMW’s Flagship M SUVs

The BMW X5M and X6M deliver blistering performance straight from the factory—but “decent” sound isn’t enough for an SUV with this much power. At Valvetronic Designs, we’ve engineered the ultimate valved exhaust system to unlock the raw, motorsport-inspired tone that these platforms truly deserve.

The Sound Experience

Connecting to either stock or aftermarket free-flow downpipes, our system runs a full 3.0-inch diameter from inlet to outlet, flowing unrestricted all the way to the tips. A centrally mounted X-pipe merges exhaust pulses for a harmonized, high-energy tone as the revs climb.

  • Valves Closed: Cabin remains refined and drone-free—perfect for daily driving.

  • Valves Open: Aggressive pops, sharper cracks, and a motorsport edge that transforms the S63 or S68 soundtrack into something unforgettable.

Through our development testing, we found that an unresonated configuration produces the most raw and exciting character, with crisp gear-change snaps and a more engaging overall tone.

Uncompromised Build Quality

  • Material Options: Premium T304 stainless steel for strength & durability, or ultra-lightweight titanium for the sharpest tone and maximum weight savings.

  • OEM Valve Integration: Reuses the factory electronic valves for seamless control via drive modes.

  • Precision TIG Welding: Ensures both high strength and an exceptional finish.

  • Fully mandrel-bent tubing: Optimized for maximum exhaust flow.

Key Features

  • Fits both S63 & S68 engines

  • 3.0" free-flow design for maximum performance

  • Stainless steel weight savings: 9.8 lbs lighter than stock

  • Titanium weight savings: 39.4 lbs lighter than stock

  • OEM electronic valve compatibility

  • 100% reversible – always able to return to stock

Fitment

  • 2020–2025 BMW X5M F95

  • 2020–2025 BMW X6M F96

This is more than an exhaust—it’s the missing piece that lets your BMW X5M or X6M sound as bold and powerful as it drives.

ECU tuning is the process of adjusting the engine control unit's software to enhance vehicle performance, efficiency, or fuel economy.

It can, depending on the manufacturer. Many warranties do not cover modifications like ECU tuning.

Use the highest octane fuel recommended for your specific tune to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Yes, a properly tuned car can be used daily, as long as the tune is tailored for reliable, everyday driving.

CPC (Central Powertrain Controller) and TCU (Transmission Control Unit) manage your vehicle's powertrain and transmission systems, respectively.

Map switching allows you to change between different tuning settings (maps) for varying driving conditions without having to retune the ECU.

Yes, if done by a professional using proper tools, ECU tuning is generally safe for your vehicle.

ECU tuning works by modifying the software that controls engine parameters like fuel mixture, ignition timing, and boost pressure to optimize performance.

The process of installing a tune depends on the vehicle’s make and model. Some tunes are installed by connecting a tuning device to your car’s OBD-II port and uploading the tuned software, others may require ECU unlock.

Stage 1 is for vehicles with no modifications, stage 2 is for vehicles with bolt-on upgrades or downpipes installed.

We offer post-installation support, troubleshooting, and guidance on using your tuning software and hardware.

Choose tuning software that is compatible with your vehicle, has good reviews, and suits your performance goals (e.g., reliability vs. max power).
