Porsche 991 GT3 / GT3 RS – Valved Sport Exhaust System

F1-Inspired • RSR Sound • 9000 RPM Symphony

Overview

This system is truly unparalleled in sound quality. After over a year and a half of dedicated research and development, we’ve engineered an exhaust experience that must be heard to be believed.

When Porsche introduced the DFI engine in the 991 GT3, many feared it would lack the soul of the legendary Mezger. But with a screaming 9,000 RPM flat-six, Porsche delivered in spades. Still, the factory setup leaves much to be desired when it comes to rawness and that elusive F1-style sound.

At Valvetronic Designs, we’ve crafted a system that elevates your GT3 experience. Featuring 2.5-inch piping, a large stamped cross-section X-pipe, and added loop sections to lengthen the exhaust path, this setup achieves the high-pitch motorsport tone enthusiasts crave. Combine it with our free-flow headers, and your 991 becomes one of the most exhilarating sounding machines on the road.

Sound Dynamics

This exhaust is designed to emulate the Porsche RSR race car:

  • Valves Open: An uncompromising sound experience with aggressive flames on upshifts and a crescendo that builds all the way to the 9000 RPM redline. Pure F1-inspired drama.

  • Valves Closed: Volume is tamed for comfort on long motorway drives or early-morning starts. Cabin drone is eliminated, keeping the experience refined even with valves shut.

Features

  • Full 2.5-inch system from front to back

  • Large stamped cross-section X-pipe for F1 tone

  • Added loop sections for enhanced sound pitch

  • Optional free-flow headers for maximum performance and sound quality

  • Vacuum-actuated exhaust valves with factory-like operation

  • Precision TIG welds for high strength and durability

  • 100% reversible – always able to return to stock

ECU tuning is the process of adjusting the engine control unit's software to enhance vehicle performance, efficiency, or fuel economy.

It can, depending on the manufacturer. Many warranties do not cover modifications like ECU tuning.

Use the highest octane fuel recommended for your specific tune to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Yes, a properly tuned car can be used daily, as long as the tune is tailored for reliable, everyday driving.

CPC (Central Powertrain Controller) and TCU (Transmission Control Unit) manage your vehicle's powertrain and transmission systems, respectively.

Map switching allows you to change between different tuning settings (maps) for varying driving conditions without having to retune the ECU.

Yes, if done by a professional using proper tools, ECU tuning is generally safe for your vehicle.

ECU tuning works by modifying the software that controls engine parameters like fuel mixture, ignition timing, and boost pressure to optimize performance.

The process of installing a tune depends on the vehicle’s make and model. Some tunes are installed by connecting a tuning device to your car’s OBD-II port and uploading the tuned software, others may require ECU unlock.

Stage 1 is for vehicles with no modifications, stage 2 is for vehicles with bolt-on upgrades or downpipes installed.

We offer post-installation support, troubleshooting, and guidance on using your tuning software and hardware.

Choose tuning software that is compatible with your vehicle, has good reviews, and suits your performance goals (e.g., reliability vs. max power).
