Built Different.Tuned Right.
Custom ECU & TCU calibrations built from the ground up for your exact platform — engineered on the dyno, validated on the street, backed for the life of the car.
Select Your Vehicle
Twelve brands. Hundreds of platforms. One calibration philosophy.
The engine's brain, recalibrated.
We reprogram the Engine Control Unit — ignition, fueling, boost, throttle, torque limiters, and temperature compensation. Factory software is a compromise. We recalibrate it for how your car actually drives.

Ignition Timing
Advanced to match your octane and climate — measurable gains across the entire rev range.
Fuel Delivery
AFR optimized for performance — richer under boost, leaner at cruise.
Boost Pressure
Raised peak and sustained boost within safe compressor and EGT limits.
Throttle Mapping
Sharpened tip-in, eliminated dead zones, matched pedal to actual airflow.
Torque Limiters
Raised inside verified mechanical margins — full torque curve, every gear.
Rev Limiter
Extended usable rev range and calibrated fuel cut for cleaner redline engagement.
Shift Maps
Rewritten to hold gears longer and shift at redline under load.
Clutch Pressure
Increased on DCT/PDK — firm, decisive shifts with zero hesitation.
Torque Limiters
Factory passthrough limits raised — every ft-lb delivered.
Launch Control
Raised RPM, tighter clutch, removed early traction cuts.
Gear Hold Logic
No automatic upshifts at redline. Paddle inputs honored.
Transmission calibration, engineered.
We reprogram the Transmission Control Unit — shift timing, clutch engagement, torque flow, and gear holds. On modern DCT, PDK, and ZF gearboxes, the factory TCU holds back as much drivability as the ECU holds back power.

Two calibrations, one complete car.
An ECU tune adds horsepower. But the factory transmission doesn't know — it still shifts at old points, still clips torque. ECU tuning is the engine. TCU tuning is how that power reaches the wheels.

ECU Tune Only

Factory soft shifts remain
Improved but TCU-limited
TCU clips lower gears
Faster engine, disconnected shifts
Engine yes, gearbox no

ECU + TCU Together
Same gains, fully delivered to wheels
Firm, fast shifts matched to power
Fully optimized 0-60
Full torque every gear
Faster and fully connected
Complete package
Stage 4 recommendation: Every customer running Stage 2 or higher should also run a TCU tune. The gains don't stack linearly — they multiply.
Four calibrations. One stalk.
Stage 4 Tuning pioneered drive-by-cruise-stalk map switching. Toggle between four map slots with four sub-menus from the driver's seat using your factory cruise control stalk — no laptop, no pulling over, no aftermarket hardware.
Reduced power, soft shifts, conservative calibration. Hand your keys to anyone.
Full power, firm shifts, daily-driver performance mode.
Maximum power, fastest shifts, launch control enabled, no upshift override. Track mode.
Every tune, every detail.
ECU Calibration
Full engine recalibration: ignition timing, fuel delivery, boost pressure, throttle mapping, torque limiters, rev limiter, and temperature compensation — written for your exact platform.
TCU Calibration
Transmission recalibration: shift maps, clutch pressure, torque passthrough limits, launch control, gear hold logic, and downshift authority — matched to your ECU tune.
On-the-Fly Map Switching
Four map slots with four sub-menus, toggled via your factory cruise control stalk. No aftermarket hardware. No laptop required.
Engineering Support
Direct access to the calibration engineer who wrote your file. Not a call center. Not a ticket queue. The engineer who built your tune.
Safe when done right.
Every calibration stays within OEM mechanical safety margins. Boost limits, EGT, clutch pressures, and torque loads are increased inside the envelope the hardware can sustain — never beyond it.
Every file is built for your exact platform. Not a generic file pulled from a database. Your engine code, gearbox variant, and bolt-on configuration all determine the calibration.
Every tune is dyno-validated. We verify power output, air-fuel ratios, shift behavior, and thermal response on the dyno before the file leaves our shop.
Your original factory map is saved before any changes are made. If you ever need to revert, the stock calibration can be restored in full.
Answers, straight from the engineers.
What is ECU tuning?
+
ECU tuning reprograms your engine's control unit to optimize ignition timing, fuel delivery, boost pressure, and torque limits. It extracts the performance your hardware is capable of by removing conservative factory software restrictions — while staying inside safe mechanical parameters.
What is TCU tuning?
+
TCU tuning reprograms your transmission's control unit to optimize shift maps, clutch pressure, torque passthrough, launch control, and gear hold logic. It transforms how the car delivers power to the wheels — especially on DCT, PDK, and ZF gearboxes.
Do I need both ECU and TCU tuning?
+
For maximum performance, yes. An ECU tune increases power, but the factory TCU still enforces original torque limits — clipping the gains you paid for. A TCU tune unlocks those limits so the transmission delivers every ft-lb the engine makes. Together, the gains multiply.
What's the difference between Stage 1, Stage 2, and Stage 3?
+
Stage 1 is software-only on stock hardware (10-30% gains). Stage 2 adds bolt-on hardware like downpipes and intercoolers (30-50% gains). Stage 3 involves upgraded turbochargers, injectors, and fuel systems (50-100%+ gains). Each stage gets a custom ECU and TCU calibration matched to the hardware.
Will ECU tuning void my warranty?
+
ECU and TCU tuning is software-only and reversible. However, any modification can potentially be used by a dealer to deny warranty claims. Under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, the dealer must prove the modification caused the failure. We recommend discussing your specific situation with us before proceeding.
Is ECU tuning safe for my car?
+
Yes, when done correctly. Stage 4 calibrations stay within OEM mechanical safety margins. Every file is platform-specific and dyno-validated.
Can I switch between maps while driving?
+
Yes. Stage 4 Tuning pioneered on-the-fly map switching via your factory cruise control stalk, with four map slots and four sub-menus. Toggle between Valet, Sport, Race, and custom calibration profiles without stopping the car or plugging in a laptop.
How do I install a tune?
+
For remote customers, we deliver the file with complete flashing instructions for your specific platform. For in-shop installs, visit our Conroe, TX headquarters or any authorized Stage 4 Tuning dealer worldwide. Most installs take under an hour.
Can I drive my car daily if it's tuned?
+
Absolutely. Stage 1 and Stage 2 tunes are designed for daily drivability. Our calibrations preserve cold-start behavior, fuel economy at cruise, and factory safety systems.
What kind of support do you offer?
+
Every customer gets direct access to the calibration engineer who wrote their file.
What fuel should I use?
+
Platform-dependent. Most Stage 1 tunes are calibrated for 91-93 octane (US). Some platforms support E85 or flex-fuel calibrations at Stage 2+. We specify fuel requirements for every calibration file we deliver.
How long does it take to receive my tune?
+
Remote files are typically delivered within 24-72 hours. In-shop installations are completed in a single visit, including dyno validation where available.

Tune your car.
Every Stage 4 Tuning calibration is written by a motorsport engineer, tested on the dyno, and backed for the life of the car.
